Scarcely is more formal than hardly

Scarcely lebih formal dari hardly

Do not use hardly and scarcely in negative sentences
Jangan gunakan hardly dan scarcely dengan kata négatif

Use hardly and scarcely after the first  auxiliary verb as in She could hardly/scarcely say anthing.  Do not say She hardly could say anything.
gunakan hardly dan scarcely setelah auxiliary verb pertama seperti dl She could hardly/scarcely say anthing. Jangan katakan She hardly could say anything.
